Hussain Sagar

Hussain Sagar is very famous lake in Hyderabad and construced in the year 1562 by Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali during the ruling of Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah. This lake was 24 km constructed on a river of the River Musi to gather the water and irrigation desires of the city.

This lake was connected the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad. The Bharat Sevashram Sangha is a charitable institute in opposite to the Katta Maisamma Temple. They have Free Funaeral Transportation Vehicle, Ambulance and guesthouse for sufferers.

The aesthetically manufactured Andhra Pradesh Secretariat structures, Lumbini Park, Hyderabad Boat Club, NTR memorial, Birla Mandir, Telugu Thalli Flyover and Prasad’s IMAX Theatre are on the southern side. The Hazrat Saidani Ma Saheba tomb, Secunderabad Sailing Club and Sanjeeviah Park are on the northern side of the Hussain Sagar. Necklace Road is connected these two sides beside the western banks. The railway line between Secunderabad and Hyderabad is run corresponding to this road. Raj Bhavan is located on the western sides of lake. At present, there are many government agencies and environmentalist groups which are trying to enhance the situation of the Hussain Sagar. Rides and boat club are offered through the Andhra Pradesh tourism department.
