Falaknuma Palace

In Hyderabad, Falaknuma Palace is situated from 5 km south from Charminar. It is regarded as the most excellent palace. The Prime Minister of Hyderabad, Nawab Vikar-ul-Umra began this building on March 3, 1884 and nine years are taken by the masons to complete this palace. In 1897, Nawab Vikar-ul-Umra sold this palace to Nizam Ali. Nizam Ali used this palace as a guest house. Italian Architect used the Italian marble in the construction of this great palace. It is surrounded by hills that are 2000 feet high. This palace spread over 9, 39,712 sq meters.

This palace was designed in such a manner that it resembles the shape of a scorpion with two stings spread out as wings on the north. In the middle, main building is seen. In this palace there is a library in which Holy Quran is also available. This palace includes prominent dining hall which support 100 guests at a same time. Artistic furniture is seen all through the palace. Some marble figures have been designed at a little interval on stairs. Falaknuma palace also wires an electrical and telephone system with the help of large switchboards. The offer floor of this big palace shows a panoramic vision of the city. The living quarters have been designed at the ground floor. In this palace, there are total 22 airy halls and 220 bountifully decorated rooms. Before visiting Falaknuma palace, you have to take permission.
