Charminar

Charminar is well known as a tomb of the four minarets, is a memorial situated in the Hyderabad, India. The monument was constructed in 1591 by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah to remember the eradication of disease, shortly after he had shifted his capital from Golconda to what now is called as Hyderabad.

Charminar is an impressive and beautiful square monument with every side measuring 20m and all sides having a pointed tall minaret. Every minaret has four storeys, all-looking as a precisely carved ring just about the minaret. The tombstone fails to notice another grand and beautiful mosque known Makkah Masjid.

Charminar is situated amidst the colorful stores of choodi bazaar with its impressive traditional bridal ware, bangles and pearls in the city. The upper portions of this monument were utilized like a mosque and madrasa. An attractive mosque is located on the western part of the top floor opposite to the Mecca.

The buzzing bazaars near Charminar sell dresses, pearls, bangles and classic Hyderabadi delicacies. Blank niches bordered by petalled ornament show the back wall of the mosque. There are various monuments, which are architecturally and historically significant nearby the Charminar. The stunning structure seems magnificent mainly in the nights while it is illuminated.
