Buddha Statue

Buddha Statue has been positioned on the rock of Gibraltar in the docile waters of the Hussain Sagar. It is the biggest standing monolith of 72 feet, put up as a fraction of the Buddha Poornima Project in the year 1985. In the centre of Hussain Sagar (man-made lake), the 18 metre tall Buddha Statue located on a platform of landmass.

The monumental sculpture was carved out of a white granite rock. It was chiseled through 200 sculptors for two years. The Buddha statue was moved to Hyderabad in the year 1988. It was put up on 12th April 1992 on a pedestral after the early problems. Affixed to Buddha Statue, Lumbini Park was opened with a boat ride to the statue from Lumbini Park, Bonsai Plants and musical fountains. The complete environment is reflected persevence and peace. A travel to the Buddha statue is a superb experience by boat.

Air – A person can reach this place by airplane.
Road – Hyderabad is well attached through road from different main regions in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Maharastra and Tamil Nadu.
Rail – Headquarter of South Central Railway, well attached with different main regions in all over India.
